These stoneware Pet Bowls are made using the art of hand-building which requires the clay to be rolled flat using a slab roller. Pattern pieces are then cut and names are stamped into the clay. I then build into the desired shape with the help of a former.
After the Bowls have dried naturally for a week, they go into the kiln for their first firing at 1000 degrees. When they have completed the 24hr program, they are ready to be glazed.
I hand-paint the lettering with a dark grey underglaze then apply 2-4 coats of glaze to the main body of the Bowl. They are then fired for the second time at 1200 degrees for another 24hrs.
After they’ve cooled sufficiently, I sand the base and meticulously pack them up using fully recyclable packaging.
About the Glaze
The Raspberry glaze is a lovely mixture of fuchsia pink and speckled stone splodges

- Due to the hand-built nature of this technique, my products will never be perfectly round. I love their imperfections which make the unique :)
- All items are dishwasher and microwave friendly
- Please note that stoneware is porous and condensation can occasionally occur underneath
